The media did it again

You may have heard on the news yesterday of the 3 girls that went missing.  Two were found & one is still missing.  Guess who they blame for their disappearances?  A WEBSITE.  How stupid is that?  The media blames VampireFreaks.com (a site that has nothing to do with vampires or any of the other crap they said about it) for 3 kids running away from home because that was the last website one of the girls went to.  That's like blaming games & music.  I'm not just taking up for this website because I'm a member on it, I'd say the same for any website.  Websites, games, music, ect. didn't hold a gun to these girls head & tell them to run away.  They did that upon their own will.  And the fact that two of the girls didn't even want to return home on their own should tell you something.  But no, the media likes to point fingers at other things that they know nothing about & that have nothing to do with it.  The media is pretty pathetic when it comes to blaming stuff if ya ask me.  Links to VampireFreak's article & the news' article can be found below along with my response.

My response to the entry on VampireFreaks (article here):
"The media will ALWAYS find something to blame. Rather it be MySpace, FaceBook, VampireFreaks, etc. You're right, if they didn't wanna return home, that shows they weren't happy there, but the media is too stupid to see that. It's never the parents' fault when a kid runs away. It's always a website or someone else, in the media's eye. "VampireFreaks and the goth subculture in general is one of the most accepting, caring and loving communities, we give the outcasts a place to feel at home. We do not condone criminal or hostile activity in any way." That couldn't have been said better. I've been here since 2005 & VF is a wonderful place/website. It's not about dumb vampires as someone in the article stated."

My response to the new's website (article here):
"The media will ALWAYS find something to blame. Rather it be MySpace, FaceBook, VampireFreaks, etc. If they didn't wanna return home, that shows they weren't happy there, but the media is too stupid to see that. Invistigate the home! Involuntary return should tell you something. With the media, it's never the parents' fault when a kid runs away. It's always a website or someone else, in the media's eye. "VampireFreaks is one of the most accepting, caring and loving communities. They do not condone criminal or hostile activity in any way. I've been a member on VampireFreaks since 2005 & I can honestly say it is NOTHING like the media makes it out to be. It is a wonderful place/website. It's not about dumb vampires, sucking blood, ect just because the ones that went missing were into that kind of crap. You guys are IDIOTS if you chose a website to blame."
